Confession: I love a good dramatic makeup. Cover me in rainbows and handfuls of glitter and I am in my happy place. However, there are days where I just don't want to put in all the effort (It's not often, mind you but it happens). For those days I have my simple go-to 5 minute face to get me feeling fresh and ready to face the world!

How I achieved this look:
First, I applied a cream foundation to my moisturized skin. (I used MAC's Prolongwear SPF 20 Foundation compact). Quick Tip #1: I like this particular foundation because it is super quick to apply, (it comes with a sponge, which i used) and it has a nice cream-to-powder finish, so I can skip powdering my skin.
For my cheeks, I opted for a cream blush. (I used Revlon's Photoready cream blush in Flushed, and applied it to my lips as well). Quick Tip #2: Cream blushes can double as cheek and lip colours. Double duty products can save You time and money! I also added a tiny bit of a cream highlight to the top of my cheek bones to add a little bit of light to the face. (The cream I used to highlight was MAC's Hush cream colour base). I used my -clean- fingers to apply both the blush and highlight colours.
In my brows I quickly brushed through a little tinted brow gel. This will add a hint of colour, and hold Your hairs in place. (Brow gel by MAC).
On my eyes I kept it very soft and very simple. I swept a satiny nude shadow to my browbone using a large fluffy blending brush. Quick Tip #3: The fluffier Your brush, the sheerer the application will be. This makes for a softer and more blended appearance. Using the same brush, I applied a shimmering pink shadow starting at the lash line and blending up into the crease. (The shadows I used were both from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette: Strange, and Burnout).
To keep the look soft I only applied eyeliner to the Inner rim of the upper lashline and very lightly to the lower outer lashline. Quick Tip #4: Applying eyeliner to the inner rim of the upper lashline will give You the appearance of a fuller lashline. The liner that i used for this what MAC's Technakohl in Photograuve (a deep brown shade). I followed up with a healthy coat of Benefits "They're Real" mascara to finish off the eyes.
Lastly, I applied a little bit of gloss to the lips on top of the Revlon cream blush I had applied earlier. (The gloss i used was Nyx's Butter gloss in Eclair).
That completes the look, it was very quick, very simple and still looks like an effort was put forward making it great for someone with (a) no time, or for someone more like me, (b) lazy.
